Stop The Destruction.

The Border Wall is more than just a fence, it is a 3-story-tall prison wall (more than twice the height of the Berlin wall) with a cleared-out enforcement zone hundreds of feet on either side. Construction of the wall requires drastically altering the landscape, carving a path of destruction that displaces residential communities, divides public spaces, destroys ecosystems, and steals sacred lands. Biden must keep his promise and immediately halt construction on Day 1.

End a “National Disaster”.

There is no national emergency on the border. In reality, border communities are among the safest in the nation. With the false declaration of a state of emergency, the Trump administration has rescinded nearly 40 laws to accelerate the construction of the wall, effectively making out border towns “constitution-free” zones. The wall is the real national emergency. The Biden administration must restore laws meant to protect us.

Protect the Sacred.

To fast-track construction Trump waived the laws protecting indigenous people’s territory and sacred burial sites. As a result, contractors have no legal obligation to protect sacred sites, nor work with indigenous communities. Several tribes, including the Kumeyaay in CA, Tohono O'odham in AZ, and Carrizo/Comecrudo in TX are rising up to protect sacred sites. Stand with them in asking Biden to reinstate the laws and stop the wall from destroying Native Lands.

Save Billions, Save Lives.

The real costs of the wall are a staggering waste of our taxpayer funds. For the cost of just a single mile of wall, we could provide over 350,000 Americans with COVID-19 vaccines, as many people who haved died from the pandemic in the entire country. Tell President Biden that cancelling the wall would save billions of dollars at a time when we need it most.

Tear Down A Giant Racist Monument.

Chant’s of “Build The Wall!” have accompanied incidents of racist violence across the country. The wall is a motivating symbol for the violent MAGA base that will continue to plague our society as long as it is allowed to stand. Stopping the wall will undercut this surge in anti-immigrant hatred in our country. Tell Biden to stop building this giant racist monument.

Divert Wall Funds to Economic Relief.

If President-elect Biden were to cancel the wall day 1 on the job, we would save at least $2.6 billion dollars, possibly a great deal more. That is the equivalent of over 2 million $1,200 stimulus checks or over 4 million $600 checks. Let's put our money where it is needed, not a senseless wall.

Stop The Corrupt Feeding Frenzy.

The wall is a cash grabfeeding frenzy for corrupt contractors, putting billions of dollars of our taxpayer money directly in the hands of Trump cronies, some of whom are right now under federal investigation for fraud. Tell Biden to stop this spending spree and end the rampant corruption.

Fund The Future.

As Americans, people who live on the border deserve to have a say in the decisions that affect their lives, and have their own needs put first in their communities, rather than having the wall imposed on them. Billions are being wasted on the wall, meanwhile border received less money for education, housing, and health care. It’s time for a different vision for the border that serves the needs of those who actually live there. Tell Biden to defund the wall, and fund the future.
